"Some Thoughts on Making a Difference"

I have this book called Looking for God in all the Right Places.
Kind of a cheesy title, right?
But I love it. And I pick it up now and then and read the short reflections written by various authors.
I have many of them marked because they've touched me at certain times of my life.
This morning I opened the book to one called "Did I Fill My Life with Love" and Bam...I was overwhelmed.
I thought about all the people around me in the past few weeks trying to make a difference in Haiti...loving people they don't even know.
I thought about my family and friends...hoping they know how much I love them.
I thought about the people who don't know the love of family and friends.
And I sent a prayer out for them...that they might know God's unending love.

DID I FILL MY LIFE WITH LOVE By Richard Carlson
In the end, I think my greatest concerns will be,
How much love did I have in my life?
How did I share my love? Who loved me?
Whom did I treasure?
Whose lives did I impact?
Did my life make a difference to someone else?
How did I serve the world?
I'm certain that my only concerns will be about
how I did or did not fill my life with love.

  1. I know in my own life, sometimes it is hard to love, so I asked God to help me. Because I know he seems them through much different eyes then I do.
